Folger Park
The Capitol Hill Parks include several park areas east of the U.S. Capitol. Included in this group are Folger, Lincoln, Stanton, and Marion Parks, the Eastern Market and Potomac Avenue Metro stations, and several smaller land parcels such as Seward Square, Twining Square, the Maryland Avenue Triangles, the Pennsylvania Avenue Medians, and 59 inner-city triangles and squares.

Celebrating a Legacy: 150 Years of Mary McLeod Bethune
This summer, the National Park Service (NPS) invites you to a free, accessible and joyful celebration of a towering figure in American history: Mary McLeod Bethune. A champion of education, civil rights and women’s leadership, Bethune was born 150 years ago— and her legacy continues to light the way toward justice and equality. When: Saturday, July 12, 2025, beginning at 4:30 p.m. Where: Lincoln Park (East Capitol & 11th Streets, Washington, DC)
National Park Service rehabilitating Folger Park
The National Park Service will start work to rehabilitate Folger Park this spring. Construction will begin March 3 and is expected to be completed in winter 2025. The park will be closed during construction.
